Just to show this is no "little upstart" operation, plans and operations have been happening for some time now.

An update from Anna,
Hi Guys,
We are preparing an Educational Tool to post here for all those that have obviously not been part of the discussions since day 1. It will inform you of every Department, every Minister we have had contact with to date and the outcome, also work already completed. This will have to be done in "point form"or it will read as a saga novel. We have where possible, always remained transparent and will if possible remain transparent.
All I can say there seems to be a lot of misinformed information out there, so lets try and clear it up.
In summary for now - we are as prepared we can be,
We do have most of the information the Government requires and by the way, we do have a concept layout design, which I might add was submitted a long time ago. For that design to be made accurate we still need to know
1. Where the Vegetation Reserve is located on the site.
2. We need the required Elevation of the racing surface in order to control and manage the emergency storm water and
3. the structural stability of the land.
We have already submitted a Business Case Study including Financial Forecasts, have passed through DETED, have the companies who will carry out all the required studies on board, and who I might ad require the above information in order for them to proceed. Also remember that this land is owned by the State Government, controlled by the LMC and we are NOT permitted on the site with out permission.

Just updated the supporters page, 587 Businesses in Adelaide support the cause. That's a lot of taxpayers (and voters)

Here's the Petition! - CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD
It's pretty simple, get as many signatures as possible and return it to Martin Hamilton-Smith MP, PO Box 275, TORRENS PARK SA 5062, so that it can be tabled in Parliament. This adds extra pressure to the Labor Party to come to the "Party".
Please only use blue or black pen, the first page is the full description, the second page can be used to gather extra signatures.
The sooner Martin Hamilton-Smith gets them the better, so print some off and take them to work or pin them on a noticeboard.
Friday 18th March 2011 there is a Protest Cruise planned for the Adelaide CBD, people are encouraged to print the various flyers available and display them on their cars, create their own and display them and to hand out information to bystanders or anyone who asks. The aim to raise awareness that there is a group of people willing to build a world-class facility to cater for Motoring Events in a safe controlled environment all year 'round. Hi Everyone,
Here is an update - the Adelaide Motorplex Proposal continues to have EVERY hurdle known to mankind placed in front of it by the Government. Whilst the Consortium have had several meetings with Government Representatives/Officials - most have just been lip service, including with the newly appointed Case Manager. At the same time, the Consortium have also had meetings with Specialist Consultants dealing in Noise, Flooding, Acid Sulphate etc which have all been extremely productive, positive and helpful.
In saying this - have we ever been officially requested by the Government for the results of/or for studies to be undertaken - NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! So if you hear of our Premier/Ministers stating in the Media, as has been said, that the Government is waiting on results from studies - you know that this is a blatant untruth!!!!!!!!!!
By the way - I have now been excluded from a lot of these Government meetings as apparently my comments are considered unhelpful to the cause. I want everyone to know that I have ever only stated the truth and asked the blatant obvious!!!!! I will not cease to ask the obvious, nor will I be intimidated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway back to the Motorplex - Watch out for an article in the Portside Messenger this week. There is apparently an interview with the newly appointed Motorsport Minister, Mr Foley, where he states that there are too many noise issues with the Motorplex to proceed. I find this comment perplexing if accurate, as Mr Foley has not met with the Consortium since his appointment, nor spoken with the Consortium on not only the noise issue, but on any issue!!!!!!!!!!! He obviously is more informed than any of the experts who all say that the Motorplex is "doable"!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where to from here - organizing a Rally that will not only involve Competitors and Motorsport Fans from South Australia, but Interstate as well. I intend to also invite other disenchanted groups such as the Public Service sectors, Loggers etc - the bigger the better! The intent will be to block/slow every entrance into Adelaide and bring the city to a standstill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"We have played nicely for tooooooo long.
For this to be successful though it is up to you - ARE YOU WITH ME?????????????????????
WE CAN WIN THIS BATTLE - REMEMBER THE GOVERNMENT WORKS FOR YOU - THE VOTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Guys,
Just a small update - yes there has been a case manager appointed - but don't get too excited just yet as we are still moving ever so slowly!
We are at present looking at contracting specialists whose expertise is in the handling of the Acid Sulphate in the soil, as that is now and will be, our biggest hurdle, b...eside the Government, that is!
I have suggested that the Consortium handles it in the same manner as the LMC and EPA handled the problem down at the Newport Quays Project!!!!!!!!
I have been restricted as to what I can make public. Minister Conlon considers comments made publicly by myself to be and I quote: "misleading and unhelpful in the context of current discussions". I won't go into the whys and wherefores as it really does not achieve anything, but will state that all I have said in the past is the TRUTH - something it would appear that the Government do not like to hear. The Government has subsequently banned me from attending any meetings, or should I say do not invite me to any meetings - obviously I asked the embarrassing questions!
Anyway - the good news is that on Thursday there was a meeting held which was to evaluate if the Adelaide Motorplex Project is eligible for a Case Manager to be appointed - we will be advised in the next few days by letter.
Do I think this is a positive move? I simply don't know! Unfortunately we have been lied to and strung along so much over the last 3 years - who knows.
Where do we go from here - we ramp up the fight!
Get you T-Shirts out of moth balls and start parading them proudly.
We have a few things in mind but need to work on them and plan them well.
I would like to thank everyone who stopped and enquired about the Motorplex at the Extreme Horsepower Show - it was great to catch up and see you all.
I will finish with this statement to the Government - I will not be intimidated/bullied by you in any way, shape or form. Adelaide needs a Motorplex and I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL WE GET ONE!
My question to you, the Government is - When will you wake up to this fact?
I will post another update in a few days.
Anna Micheel

Hi Everyone, I know that it has been a while but I ask that everyone remain patient as things are still moving in a "favorable" (seems to be the word of the day) direction. Meetings/Negotiations are still continuing, all be it at a snails pace but, never the less in the right direction.
I would like to take this opportun...ity to thank everyone for your positive support on this site to date, and ask for your continued support and comments as it is still being "observed"! I apologize for not being able to elaborate further on any of the issues and hope that you understand that this stage we are operating "under a cone of silence". As soon as we can break the "code of silence", I promise you will be the first to know.
As a side note - we have a few things happening after this month so stay tuned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anna Micheel.

We know it is frustrating, but there is still nothing solid to report, no progress but no knockbacks either, keep an eye on the Facebook page or the "Messages of Support" page for any updates by Anna.
21st June 2010
We all know that it taking a long time, but there is no recent news to report, red-tape is still being waded through and Anna will give an update when there is something tangible to report. All we can do is encourage you to watch the site or join the Facebook Group to show support and keep update
16th May 2010
The process is now at a stage where there is little news and there are few updates to make. The Consortium is ploughing through the "red-tape", Meetings, Paperwork, Tests etc, etc. Of course we wouldn't be in this position without the staunch supporters and helpers, so have faith and updates will be made when there is progress to report.
7th April 2010
It has come to attention that a "Letter/Flyer" has or is being distributed via a Letter Box Drop around the Grange area. It talks about Environmental and Noise Pollution concerns from supposedly concerned residents within the area. Its entirety is based on ill informed and ignorant facts that is completely against the mantra of the Adelaide Motorplex!
I want everyone to know that under instruction, I have handed a copy of this document to the Police yesterday for investigation. Needless to say that this document is not signed, except for the guise that is it from Concerned Residents Against the Motorplex (C.R.A.M.S.). The concerns that I have is that the document contains not 1, but 2 commecial Logos - 1. Paint Supplies and
2. City Dismantlers.
Both used without permission and/or authority. This is totally illegal I assure you all, that if caught we will prosecute all parties involved!
I ask all of you living in particularly the Grange area to keep a vigilant look out and either report any information to either myself or the Police.
To the people concerned - GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT
30th March 2010
More good news on the Chanel 9 News - the Government have announced that they are prepared to pay for half of the required studies. Thank you again Mr. Rann. As per the request yesterday during the meeting - we have been contacted by the Land Management Corporation and an appointment has been made on the 15th April, to discuss the Noise Issue at Gillman.
Will keep you all updated as more information comes to light.
29th March 2010
The message from the meeting today is extremely positive for Gillman. Whilst we have a lot of work to do now - at least it is going forward. We must now and have agreed to, undertake the relevant studies upon written assurances from the Government that the land will be made available should we meet all necessary criteria. I can't stress enough how positive this is for the Motorplex and must thank the Premier for taking the time out of his busy schedule to listen to the advantages of having a Motorplex here in Adelaide.
28th March 2010
The Consortium will be having a meeting tomorrow (Monday 29th) to see if Mr Rann "can help out with some land"
MASSIVE turn out for the Cruise to the Track event, with all groups meeting in the city before cruising out to the Speedboat Club the entire length of King William Street had wall to wall Muscle Cars, Cruisers, Hot Rods and bikes.
Concept drawings were released for the public at the Speedboat Club.

Update on the Meeting with Hon Patrick Conlon from Anna Micheel.
Hi Everyone,
Have just returned from a meeting with Minister Conlon. Attendees were as follows: Federal Member for Port Adelaide, Mark Butler and his PA, Wayne Gibbons, CEO of Land Management Corporation, Minister Conlon and his PA/Chief of Staff, Tony Thornton and Harry White, both from ANDRA, Adam Willis from CAMS, the Investors and myself.
Whilst the meeting did not produce the desired outcome with Gillman, I was still buoyed with the response received. The Government will not or cannot release the Gillman site to us until they receive the outcome from studies being undertaken on the Salt Pans and possible reclamation there of.
Minister Conlon was supportive of the Motorsport Complex to the extent he has directed the LMC to undertake a review of other potential sites that maybe suitable for our use.
There is another meeting with the LMC set for the middle of December to discuss the findings of the above review.
Whilst I understand that everyone will be disappointed with the above result, I ask you to realise that this is all a numbers game for the Government. It is now that I need as much support as you can rally for the project. Please continue to write or even make appointments with your Local Member to discuss why you want the Motorsport Complex to happen.
We are at a crucial time - I believe we are close to achieving our goal but it is time for all Motorsport Taxing Paying Enthusiasts to rally together. The Government is all about numbers - if we have the numbers the Government will act, if not - all will be lost.
So, please - do not sit on your backsides and wait for everyone else to do the job. HELP US! The Election - March 20th 2010!

ADELAIDE MOTORPLEX PUBLIC RALLY
Was a success by all accounts, the large crowd covered the footpath across the entire frontage of Parliament House and spilled out onto North Terrace blocking one lane of traffic. The crowd was very vocal and armed with whistles and air-horns. Thanks to the Speakers and most of all all the people that took time out to show support for the cause. There was plenty of media coverage with all local TV channels represented, a story in the Advertiser website with a small picture. There is now plenty of photos and video footage available through the Motorplex's Facebook page.
The Adelaide Motorplex representatives will be meeting with the Transport Minister in early November, so keep an eye on the website for update. In the mean time spread the word, sign the petition if you haven't already and leave your messages of support by clicking the tab above.
Video footage (7 seconds) from an ABC news story of Mike Rann having some fun on the track, something he seemingly doesn't want anyone else to do.
August 2009
Here's a couple of pictures of Roc Puccini's "Dirty Rat Racing" Crew showing their support for the Adelaide Motorplex at the August Season Opener race meet at Willowbank Raceway in Queensland.
Thanks to all that attended the Public Meeting on August 23rd at 2:00pm at the Masonic Hall Port Adelaide.
In this picture you can see that the crowd was so large that it spilled out onto Dale Street that subsequently had to be closed to traffic on both sides.
Speakers included : Anna Micheel (spokesperson for the Consortium), Gary Johanson (Port Adelaide/Enfield Mayor), Tony Thornton and Harry White from ANDRA
and representatives from CAMS, "Beat the Heat" and the Liberal Party.
ACA Special Report on Hoon Drivers and the lack of a safe venue for them to take it off the street.

THE PUBLIC MEETING for the proposed Adelaide Motorplex HAS NOW BEEN CONFIRMED!!!!!
SUNDAY August 23rd at 2:00pm
Masonic Hall, Cnr Dale Street and Commercial St, Port Adelaide.
Lots of info and speakers, plus the announcement of the date for the Rally in front of Parliment House.
Due to the completely overwhelming response to the public meeting/protest, the dates will have to be revised.
Since the announcement less than 48hrs ago we have received requests from interstate car clubs, race teams, companies and many individuals who wish to attend in support of our situation in SA. Unfortunately due to the relatively short notice this has made it difficult for them to attend and support us in our fight.
As we wish to make the biggest statement possible to the State Government we have decided to revise the dates of the public meeting (was Sunday August 16) and the Protest (was Friday August 28 )
We apologise to those who have organized time off work for the Protest, however in order to maximize the impact and to achieve our desired outcome, this is necessary.
I'm sure you all realize how big this Protest is turning out, and we want it to be the best it can be for everyone of us.
